Description

Elvis Presley – A Canadian Tribute is a 1978 compilation with which RCA commemorated Presley's 1957 concerts in Canada. The record combines songs with a Canadian connection, including titles by Gordon Lightfoot, Gene MacLellan, Buffy Sainte-Marie, Hank Snow and Paul Anka, with stage introductions and a 1957 press conference from Vancouver. In Canada the album topped the country albums chart from November 1978. This copy is the 1978 Japanese original edition (RVP-6327) with OBI strip and two inserts.

FAQ

What is an OBI?
The OBI is a paper strip wrapped around the left side of the sleeve on Japanese pressings, showing title, catalogue number and price in Japanese. Since it was often lost, copies with the OBI are sought after by collectors.

What do the inserts contain?
The Japanese edition comes with an insert featuring photos, Japanese liner notes, English lyrics and transcriptions of the introductions. This copy is offered with two inserts.

What does Media NM- / Cover VG+ mean?
Record: NM- (Near Mint minus) means close to new with at most minimal signs of use. Sleeve: VG+ (Very Good Plus) means light signs of use that barely affect playback or the overall impression. All grades are explained on our Vinyl Grading page.

Do you have more Elvis Presley records?
Yes, for example A Canadian Tribute (Canadian original 1978, yellow vinyl) and Elvis In Germany. More titles are in our Beat & Rock & Roll collection.
