Description

Elvis Presley – A Legendary Performer Volume 4 is the fourth instalment of RCA's archival series "A Legendary Performer", released in 1983 (US cat. no. CPL1-4848, produced by Joan Deary). The LP mostly contains previously unreleased recordings from 1955 to 1972: a Sun session with false starts and studio chatter, a 1956 interview, private recordings made in Germany (April 1959), alternate takes from film sessions, the duet "The Lady Loves Me" with Ann-Margret from "Viva Las Vegas", and live recordings from the 1968 TV special, Las Vegas 1969 and Madison Square Garden 1972. This copy is the 1983 European original pressing (RCA PL 84848) with booklet.

FAQ

Is this the original pressing?
Yes, this is the 1983 European first issue with catalogue number PL 84848. In the US the album appeared the same year as CPL1-4848.

What makes this volume special?
Almost every track was previously unreleased, including the 1959 private recordings from Germany, "Plantation Rock" (never used in the film) and the Ann-Margret duet "The Lady Loves Me".

What does Media NM- / Cover VG+ mean?
NM- (Near Mint minus) means the record is close to new. VG+ (Very Good Plus) means the sleeve shows light wear; here it is still in its original shrink with sticker. All grades are explained on our Vinyl Grading page.

Do you have more Elvis Presley records?
Yes, for example A Legendary Performer Volume 1, A Legendary Performer Volume 2 and Rarities – 12 Songs In Very Special Versions. More titles are in our Beat / Rock & Roll collection.
