Elvis Presley - Weihnachten Mit Elvis (Vinyl 7" EP | GDR Original | 1988)

Elvis Presley – Weihnachten Mit Elvis is a 7" EP with four Christmas and gospel recordings, released in 1988 by the East German label Amiga (cat. no. 5 56 190) in its Amiga Quartett series, licensed from BMG Ariola Hamburg. Amiga was the pop and light-music imprint of the state-owned VEB Deutsche Schallplatten, and licensed releases by Western stars were the exception there. The EP pairs two 1950s recordings (Silent Night, Peace In The Valley) with two titles from Elvis' second Christmas album of 1971. This copy is a used GDR original pressing from 1988.

FAQ

Is this an original pressing?
Yes. This EP was only released in the GDR and came out on Amiga in 1988. It is the original edition, not a later repress.

What is the Amiga Quartett series?
Under this name Amiga issued 7" EPs with four tracks by one artist each. It was one way recordings by Western stars were released under licence in the GDR.

What does Media VG+ / Cover VG+ mean?
Both record and cover are graded VG+: light signs of use that barely affect playback or overall appearance. All grades are explained on our Vinyl Grading page.

Are there more records by Elvis Presley?
Yes, for example Elvis Presley – His Hand In Mine and Elvis Presley – How Great Thou Art. You will find more titles in our Beat / Rock & Roll category.
