Ian Carr's Nucleus - Out Of The Long Dark (Vinyl LP | DE Original | 1979)

Ian Carr’s Nucleus – Out Of The Long Dark is an album by trumpeter Ian Carr's British jazz-rock band, released on Capitol in 1979. It was recorded and mixed at Abbey Road Studios in London, with Geoff Castle on electric pianos, Brian Smith on saxophones and flutes, Billy Kristian on bass and Roger Sellers on drums. Side A opens with "Gone With The Weed" and the extended "Lady Bountiful"; the first four pieces on side B, including the title track, were inspired by four bronze sculptures by artist Gerald Laing, whose names appear in brackets. This copy is the German original pressing by EMI Electrola on Capitol (1C 064-85 788).
