Description
Jim Hall – Concierto is an album by guitarist Jim Hall, recorded on April 16 and 23, 1975 at Van Gelder Studio in Englewood Cliffs, produced by Creed Taylor, with Rudy Van Gelder as engineer and arrangements by Don Sebesky. It was released on CTI Records in 1975 (cat. no. CTI 6060). Hall plays in a sextet with Paul Desmond, Chet Baker, Roland Hanna, Ron Carter and Steve Gadd; the whole of side two is given to his almost twenty-minute version of Joaquín Rodrigo's “Concierto de Aranjuez”. Side one has Cole Porter's “You'd Be So Nice To Come Home To”, Hall's “Two's Blues” and Jane Hall's “The Answer Is Yes”. This copy is a German reissue on CTI.
