Description

Joachim Kühn – I'm Not Dreaming is an album by pianist Joachim Kühn, released on CMP Records in 1983. The piano was recorded digitally at Schloss Bredeneek in March 1983, with additional recording and mixing at Brunwey Studios in Hamburg; it was produced by Joachim Kühn and Kurt Renker, with Rolf Kühn as co-producer. All seven pieces are by Kühn. Alongside solo passages you hear percussionist Herbert Försch, Mark Nauseef on drums and, on the long Schloss Bredeneek, cellist Ottomar Borwitzky and trombonist George Lewis. This copy is the German original pressing (cat. no. CMP 22 ST) with printed inner sleeve.

FAQ

Is this the original pressing?
Yes. This is the 1983 German first issue on CMP Records, cat. no. CMP 22 ST, with printed inner sleeve.

Is this a pure solo album?
Not entirely. The piano is at the centre, but several pieces add percussion and drums, and Schloss Bredeneek also features cello and trombone.

What does Media NM- / Cover VG+ mean?
NM- (Near Mint minus) for the record means close to new with at most minimal signs of use. VG+ (Very Good Plus) for the sleeve means light wear. All grades are explained on our Vinyl Grading page.

Do you have more Joachim Kühn records?
Yes, for example Joachim Kühn Feat. Alphonse Mouzon – Hip Elegy, Rolf Kühn Group feat. Phil Woods – The Day After. More titles are in our Jazz collection.
