Linval Thompson – Give Me Back (What You Take From The Poor) / Fatty Bum Bum is a 12" single by Jamaican singer and producer Linval Thompson on the British label C & E Records (cat. no. CED 108). Born in Kingston in 1954, Thompson recorded for Phil Pratt and Lee “Scratch” Perry in the mid-1970s and began producing in 1978, working with Dennis Brown, Barrington Levy, The Wailing Souls and Ranking Dread among others. Side A holds the socially conscious roots track “Give Me Back”, side AA “Fatty Bum Bum”; Thompson produced both sides himself. This copy is a UK original pressing in a generic sleeve.
