Description

Miles Davis – Kind Of Blue is the modal jazz album by the Miles Davis Sextet, recorded on March 2 and April 22, 1959 at Columbia's 30th Street Studio in New York and released by Columbia in August 1959. It was produced by Irving Townsend with Fred Plaut as engineer. Instead of fast chord changes, Davis, John Coltrane, Cannonball Adderley and Bill Evans improvise over a few scales; it is one of the best-selling jazz albums ever and certified five-times platinum in the US. This copy is a limited 2020 European reissue on ultra-clear transparent vinyl.

No. The original was released by Columbia in 1959. This copy is a limited 2020 European reissue from the "Clear Classics" series on transparent vinyl.

Who wrote Blue In Green and Flamenco Sketches?
The original LP credits Miles Davis with all compositions. Bill Evans is, however, regarded as co-writer or writer of "Blue In Green" and "Flamenco Sketches", and newer editions credit both.
