Description
Miles Davis – Miles In The Sky is a studio album by the Miles Davis Quintet, released by Columbia in July 1968 and produced by Teo Macero. It was recorded on January 16 and May 15–17, 1968 at Columbia's studios in New York. It is the first Davis album to feature electric instruments: on "Stuff" Herbie Hancock plays electric piano and Ron Carter electric bass, and George Benson guests on electric guitar on "Paraphernalia". The record marks the start of Davis's path towards fusion albums such as "In A Silent Way" and "Bitches Brew". This copy is a 1974 Italian reissue on CBS (cat. no. 63352).

It is the first record on which Miles Davis uses electric instruments – electric piano, electric bass and electric guitar. The long, rhythmically open pieces already point to his electric period from 1969 onwards.
Is this the original pressing?
No. The original was released by Columbia in the US in 1968. This copy is a 1974 Italian reissue on CBS, cat. no. 63352.
What does Media VG+ / Cover VG+ mean?
VG+ (Very Good Plus) for the record means light signs of use that hardly affect playback. For the sleeve, VG+ means light wear. All grades are explained on our Vinyl Grading page.
Do you have more Miles Davis records?
