Description

Miriam Makeba – Sangoma was released on Warner Bros. in 1988 and is devoted to traditional South African songs. Makeba arranged and adapted the pieces herself; the recordings focus entirely on voice and rhythm, with background vocals by Hugh Masekela and Brenda Fassie among others. Nineteen short, intense pieces such as Emabhaceni and Baxabene Oxamu and Congo make this a deeply personal album.

On offer is the original 1988 European pressing on Warner Bros. Records (925 673-1) with the original inner sleeve.
