Description
Norma Winstone – Somewhere Called Home is an album by British jazz singer Norma Winstone on ECM (cat. no. ECM 1337). It was recorded in July 1986 at Rainbow Studio in Oslo, produced by Manfred Eicher with Jan Erik Kongshaug as engineer, and released in 1987. Winstone sings in a trio without bass or drums, accompanied only by John Taylor on piano and Tony Coe on clarinet and tenor saxophone. Alongside standards such as Out Of This World and Tea For Two there are pieces by Egberto Gismonti, Kenny Wheeler, Ralph Towner and Bill Evans to which Winstone wrote her own lyrics. This copy is the 1987 German original pressing.
