Description
Passport – Iguaçu is an album by the jazz-rock band Passport led by saxophonist Klaus Doldinger, first released in 1977 on Atlantic (cat. no. ATL 50 341). It was recorded at Union Studios in Munich and Estúdio Level in Rio de Janeiro and produced by Doldinger himself. The music is strongly shaped by Brazilian rhythms; Brazilian percussionists such as Wilson das Neves and Pedro "Sorongo" Santos appear on Sambukada and Guna Guna. This copy is a German reissue on Atlantic with the same catalogue number.

FAQ
Is this the original pressing?
No. The original was released in 1977. This copy is a later German reissue on Atlantic with the same cat. no. ATL 50 341; the exact year is not stated.
Where does the title come from?
Iguaçu refers to the Iguaçu Falls on the border between Brazil and Argentina. Fittingly, part of the album was recorded in Rio de Janeiro with Brazilian musicians.
What does Media VG+ / Cover VG mean?
VG+ (Very Good Plus) for the record means light signs of use that hardly affect playback. VG (Very Good) for the sleeve means clear signs of wear such as edge or corner wear. All grades are explained on our Vinyl Grading page.
