FAQ

What is the difference between bebop and cool jazz?
Bebop emerged in the 1940s with fast tempos, complex harmonies and virtuoso improvisation, for example by Charlie Parker and Dizzy Gillespie. Cool jazz followed in the late 40s and 50s: more relaxed, softer and more arranged – Miles Davis' "Birth Of The Cool" and the Dave Brubeck Quartet are typical examples.

How do you grade the condition?
Every used record is checked by hand and graded to the Goldmine standard, with vinyl (media) and sleeve (cover) graded separately. All grades are explained on our Vinyl Grading page.

Are the images photos of the actual record?
Yes. We scan every record ourselves – used and new. For used records you get exactly the copy shown.
