FAQ

Is this the original pressing?
Yes, for the German-speaking market. The single came out in 1989 on Tommy Boy in the US; BCM Records released it under licence for Germany, Austria and Switzerland the same year.

What does Media NM- to VG+ / Cover VG+ mean, and what is WOL?
The record sits between NM- (close to new) and VG+ (light wear). The sleeve is VG+ with some wear. WOL stands for "writing on label": there is a small pen mark on the label. All grades are explained on our Vinyl Grading page.

What sample is in the song?
The beat is based on Funkadelic's "(Not Just) Knee Deep" from 1979; Edwin Birdsong's "Rapper Dapper Snapper" is also used.

Do you have more De La Soul records?
Yes, for example De La Soul – De La Soul Is Dead, De La Soul – Buhloone Mind State and De La Soul – Stakes Is High. More titles are in our Hip Hop collection.
