Pat Metheny Group – Pat Metheny Group is the first album Pat Metheny released under his band's name, issued on ECM in 1978 (cat. no. ECM 1114). It was recorded in January 1978 at Talent Studio in Oslo, produced by Manfred Eicher with Jan Erik Kongshaug as engineer. Because of its almost white cover it is also known as the "White Album". With Lyle Mays, Mark Egan and Danny Gottlieb it introduced pieces such as "Phase Dance" and "San Lorenzo". This copy is the 1978 German original pressing.
