Description

Pat Metheny – Offramp is the third ECM album by the Pat Metheny Group (cat. no. ECM 1216). It was recorded in October 1981 at the Power Station in New York, produced by Manfred Eicher, and released in May 1982. Bassist Steve Rodby and Brazilian percussionist Naná Vasconcelos were new to the band, and Metheny makes extensive use of guitar synthesizer and Synclavier for the first time. The album won the group its first Grammy in 1983 (Best Jazz Fusion Performance). This copy is the 1982 German original pressing.
