Description

Pat Metheny w/ Charlie Haden & Billy Higgins – Rejoicing is a trio album by guitarist Pat Metheny on ECM (cat. no. ECM 1271). It was recorded on November 29 and 30, 1983 at the Power Station in New York, produced by Manfred Eicher with Jan Erik Kongshaug as engineer, and released in 1984. With bassist Charlie Haden and drummer Billy Higgins, both veterans of Ornette Coleman's early groups, Metheny plays three Coleman tunes, Horace Silver's "Lonely Woman" and his own compositions. FAQ

Is this the original pressing?
Yes. ECM is a German label, and this is the 1984 German first pressing with catalogue number ECM 1271.

Which tracks are by Ornette Coleman?
"Tears Inside", "Humpty Dumpty" and the title track "Rejoicing". Haden and Higgins had both played with Coleman in the late 1950s.

What does Media NM- / Cover VG+ mean?
NM- (Near Mint minus) means close to new with at most minimal signs of play. VG+ (Very Good Plus) means light wear that barely affects playback or overall appearance. All grades are explained on our Vinyl Grading page.

Do you have more Pat Metheny records?
Yes, for example Pat Metheny – Offramp, Pat Metheny – Watercolors or the double album Pat Metheny – 80/81. More titles are in our Jazz collection.
