Description

Weather Report – 8:30 is the double album by the fusion band led by Joe Zawinul and Wayne Shorter, released in 1979 on CBS (cat. no. CBS 88455). Three sides were recorded live on the late-1978 tour, largely at the concert at the Terrace Theater in Long Beach, California; the fourth side holds new studio recordings. Zawinul produced, with Jaco Pastorius as co-producer and Wayne Shorter assisting. With Pastorius and Peter Erskine, the album captures the quartet line-up of those years in pieces such as "Birdland", "Teen Town" and "Black Market". This copy is a 1979 European original pressing in a gatefold sleeve.
