Description

Weather Report – Weather Report is the tenth studio album by the fusion band led by Joe Zawinul and Wayne Shorter, and the second to carry the band's name as its title (after the 1971 debut). It was recorded from July to August 1981 at the Power Station in New York and Sound Castle in Los Angeles, produced by Zawinul, Jaco Pastorius and Shorter, and released in January 1982. It is the last album with Pastorius and Peter Erskine as the rhythm section, and Zawinul's synthesizers shape the sound more than before. This copy is a 1982 European original pressing on CBS (CBS 85326) with the original inner sleeve.

FAQ

Is this the 1971 debut album?
No. Weather Report released two albums titled after the band. This is the 1982 album with Jaco Pastorius and Peter Erskine, not the debut with Miroslav Vitouš.

Is this the original pressing?
Yes, it is the 1982 European first issue on CBS, cat. no. CBS 85326, with the original inner sleeve.

What does Media NM- / Cover VG+ mean?
NM- (Near Mint minus) means the record is close to new with at most minimal signs of play. VG+ (Very Good Plus) means the sleeve shows light wear. All grades are explained on our Vinyl Grading page.

Do you have more Weather Report records?
Yes, for example Weather Report – Mr. Gone, Heavy Weather or 8:30. More titles are in our Fusion collection.
