Description

Pat Metheny – Offramp is an album by the Pat Metheny Group on ECM (cat. no. ECM 1216). It was recorded in October 1981 at the Power Station in New York, produced by Manfred Eicher, and released in May 1982. New to the group are bassist Steve Rodby and Brazilian percussionist Naná Vasconcelos. Metheny uses the guitar synthesizer extensively here for the first time, for example on "Are You Going With Me?", one of his best-known pieces. The album won the 1983 Grammy for Best Jazz Fusion Performance. This copy is a 1982 German original pressing.
