FAQ

What is ambient music?
Ambient is calm, atmospheric music that creates space and mood rather than putting melodies in the foreground. Brian Eno coined the term in the late 70s with his album "Ambient 1: Music For Airports".

What is the Berlin School?
The term describes the electronic music created mainly in West Berlin in the 70s: long, sequencer-driven pieces with synthesizers and Mellotron. Well-known artists include Tangerine Dream, Klaus Schulze and Ashra.

How do you grade the condition?
Every used record is checked by hand and graded to the Goldmine standard, with vinyl (media) and sleeve (cover) graded separately. All grades are explained on our Vinyl Grading page.

Are the images photos of the actual record?
Yes. We scan every record ourselves – used and new. For used records you get exactly the copy shown.
